Adult laughing gull (Leucophaeus atricilla) in breeding plumage, Pigeon Point, Tobago

Bird diversity is not particularly impressive along the sandy beaches of Tobago, inviting as they are. This species is very common though. Laughing gulls are widespread in the Americas, breeding from the St Lawrence River in Canada to southern Peru.
