Ross's gull (Rhodostethia rosea), St. Paul, Pribilof Islands
Most closely related to the little gull. I am privileged to have encountered this rarely seen species, which breeds on the high arctic tundra of Greenland, Canada and northeastern Siberia, on my sole visit to these remote islands. Unfortunately I only had a film camera with a high-ISO Kodachrome film at the time but I have posted this image here as a memento nevertheless.
