Nepenthes pervillei, Mahé Island, Seychelles

There are many species of pitcher plant but this one is endemic to the Seychelles and grows naturally only on two islands in the world, Mahé and Silhouette. It grows in granitic terrain between 350 and 750 m above sea level. It supplements the poor nutrition of its rocky habitat by trapping insects in the sticky secretions of its pitchers. From a slide.
