Dunnock (Prunella modularis), Cannop Ponds, Gloucestershire

I am pleased with this shot, because the dunnock, or hedge accentor, is a bird with dull, camouflage plumage which creeps and skulks around at ground level, frequently in dense vegetation. I have not often seen it at bird tables either. So it is relatively difficult to capture a decent image. The new Tamron lens has performed well at maximum zoom; the picture is reasonably sharp.
