Parliament close up

The building was completed in 1904. It is an eclectic mix of architectural styles, mainly Gothic Revival, reflecting the style of Westminster. The central dome is more Renaissance Revival. The red star was removed from the top of the dome in 1990 after the revolutions of 1989. The building is completely symmetrical and has two twin debating chambers. However the legislature is unicameral and one chamber is used only for tours.
