Phaius tancarvilleae, an orchid from Asia, Costa Rica

You won't easily find showy blooms like this growing wild in the rainforests of Costa Rica; this beautiful orchid was a cultivar, but growing quite happily in the open near a nature reserve visitor centre in the Central Cordillera.
