Colourful street, Cassis, Provence

I had to take this picture for (1) the brilliant Mediterranean light with its strong contrasts, (2) the wonderfully rich colours with which the French paint the walls of their houses, plus the ubiquitous lavender-coloured shutters, representative of that local horticultural crop. 120907 404
