6/100 Strangers

Patti was slightly nervous but very agreeable to having her picture taken. I saw her inside an Irish Pub where it was quite dark, but I thought she had marvelous eyes and a warm and calm presence. The light outside was harsh and tricky so I had her stand under a sidewalk umbrella. Didn't realize until I saw the image on my computer screen that the right side of her face was catching the reflection of a red painted wall. Somebody with more software skill than I possess could probably correct for the reddish tint, but overall I'm happy with the photograph.

Patti hails from upstate New York where she was raised and went to college but is much happier in the Rocky Mountain West. We had a very friendly if fairly short conversation as both of us had to get back to work.

This is my sixth posting in the 100 strangers project. Find out more about the project and see pictures taken by other photographers at the 100 Strangers Flickr Group page
