This is the second in a series of interviews I did in Amsterdam last month with some of the writers featured in new city-pick Amsterdam book, which provides a writer's-eye perspective on the city. The Guardian described the book as "an intimate portrait of one of Europe's most distinctive cities". In this interview, Tommy Wieringa tells me about coming to Holland from the Caribbean as a child and writing his bestselling novel, Joe Speedboat.
