Soo Line GP9 2409 Stevens Point WI 3-11-1967
Here's a shot of Soo Line GP9 2409 at Stevens Point WI March 1967. The 2409 was built in December 1954 and sold to the I&M Rail Link in April 1997. The Soo Line's tradition of covering any opening that could let in cold air with masking tape is on display with this unit. The 2409 became IMRL 114 and later ICE 114. Through Canadian Pacific's merger of the DME and ICE in 2008, the 114 became part of the Soo Line family again, albeit in a roundabout way. The 114 was finally retired in June 2013.
