OBB / DB_EC217_Eben Im Pongau, Austria_120220_01

During the winter months certain passenger trains which run between Bischoshofen and Selzthal via Radstat are booked to be assisted by a OBB locomotive due to the steep gradients of the line and snowy landscape.

 

Here we see OBB locomotive 1144 242 (front) and DB Traxx 101 118 (at the very rear) both powering the train in top and tail mode through Eben Im Pongau on the afternoon of the 12/2/20 with EC217 from Saarbrucken to Graz.
