Virgin Trains, 1997-2019, R.I.P.
The Virgin Trains franchise, which ran from 1997 to 2019 finished on the evening of the 7/12/19. Thereafter, First Trenialia tookover the franchise under the name of "Avanti West Coast".
Still sporting the original Virgin Trains livery, 390152 passes through Crawford in Scotland on the afternoon of the 21/9/19 with 1M16 from Glasgow Central to London Euston.
R.I.P. Virgin Trains. The West Coast will never be the same again. Some fond memories over the years, both positive and negative including the use of Freightliner class 90s on passenger trains :-)
