Salt Valley moon set, lost in space time equilibrium

Arches National Park, Utah Slat Valley is an interesting place. It is formed because the salt formation is being squeezed down and out. There are places where you can find slick-n-side formations, rock that has been cooked by the pressure of the other rock sliding past it. One of the observations is the difference between outside the park and inside. The grass outside is eaten down to the ground by cattle and on the other side of the park fence the grass is lush and about 18 inches tall. Good thing it's a park!
