The Darkness
My first time ever photographing droplets like this, worked out pretty good! :D
I filled a bowl of water and added the red colour (pigment) to it, this turned the water in the bowl red.
I setup my camera on a tripod and focussed it on one point in the bowl zoomed in far enough.
Then I took some green colour and used a syringe to drop those green droplets in while at the same time taking photos.
It can be done in 2 ways:
1: In a very dark room, with the drops lit with a bright lamp/light, using flash with a long shutter speed.
The flash will capture the drop while it's in the air while the shutter speed compensates for the darkness of the room.
This is the method I used.
2: In a very bright room, with a very short shutter speed so you can 'freeze' the drop while it's in the air.
This way you won't have to use lamps to light up your drops, but for me the first method worked better.
Make sure you drop your drops at the focus point of the camera while taking photos at the same time.
Ofcourse you can 'cheat' and shoot continuously while dropping many drops but I found that won't give you great results.
If you have any external flashers or anything like that that works great for this too. :)
