Movement removed
Movement removed. Label is in good condition and used to indicate manufacturer and help to date the clock. L&J only operated under that name for 5 years from what I have been able to find so far. That style movement was patented earlier and used/made by other clock makers at the time, even though it was patented. Bell weight on left and time gear train weight on the right. Cords run up from the movement to pulleys and then down each side of the case. Approximately 3 pounds each, but time weight is heavier. Bell sounds somewhat like Mr. Rodger's trolley bell.
