Old freight house

This is my scratch built model of the old wooden Waupaca freight house. It was the first passenger station built after the railroad . The wooden bridge was built when the line was raised in 1900. It lasted until 1906 when it was replaced by a steel girder bridge. The ties are for the Waupaca trolley line which terminated in front of the freight house. The trolley tracks did not cross the Wisconsin Central tracks. The passenger station was just the other side of the bridge up on the hill.
