Maquiketa Caves State Park

When we first arrived things did not look too promising. The first thing we saw was this visitors center. that was closed. There was not any information or walking paths in the area. We decided to drive down the road and soon we found the park office with a very nice employee told us all about the park and showed us several small animals he as caring for. We were pleasantly surprised to learn there were no visitor fees at the park.
