Castel Beseno oCccupa un’intera sommità collinare dominando la Valle dell’Adige, tra Rovereto e Trento, e si raggiunge passando da Besenello. A colpire, oltre alla grandiosità, è l’atmosfera che ancora si percepisce, carica di suggestione e fascino. È sede di mostre temporanee, manifestazioni culturali e spettacoli in costume, che hanno come scenario d'eccezione il vasto Campo dei Tornei, oggi un giardino ben tenuto. Questa fortezza fu teatro di scontri storici, dalle guerre di partito con i Veronesi nel XII e XIII secolo alla battaglia del 1487 fra Trentini e Veneziani; dagli scontri armati tra i Rivoluzionari francesi e gli Austriaci alle due guerre mondiali. Nel 1973 i conti Trapp l’hanno donata alla Provincia autonoma di Trento che l’ha accuratamente restaurata.

Beseno Castle occupies an entire hill top overlooking the valley, between Rovereto and Trento, and is reached by passing Besenello. A striking addition to the grandeur, the atmosphere is still perceived, full of charm and appeal. It is home to temporary exhibitions, cultural events and performances in costume, except that as a scenario the vast range of tournaments, now a well-kept garden. This fortress was the scene of historical battles, war party with the Veronese in the twelfth and thirteenth centuries, the battle of 1487 between the Venetians and Trentini, by armed clashes between the Revolutionary French and the Austrians to the two world wars. In 1973 the Trapp counts have given to the Autonomous Province of Trento that has been lovingly restored
