There was a lot of speculation as to which way this test train would return - via WCML or Oxford. Thankfully via Kemble and Cheltenham was chosen. This is 68005 'Defiant' with 68001 'Evolution' at rear approaching Cheltenham with 1Z16 1218 Reading to Derby. This working meant that over the weekend of 16/17 July, 4 Class 68s were seen in this area. The other two, 68003 and 68021 had worked the Pathfinder railtour. Sunday 17th July 2016.
