Pizzaria Original MOC Interior
This isn't exactly my MOC. I bought this off of Ebay over 20 years ago, and it stood proudly in my city for many years. The opportunity to display it at Our National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows, brought it out of storage, and restoration began. I loved what the original creator did with this so I wanted to keep it as stock as possible, but many of the white bricks had yellowed, so a restoration was required.
I started with a digital rebuild of the original for reference later durring reconstruction. Then I deconstructed it and restored the white parts with Hydrogen Peroxide and sunlight. While the construction could've been better, I kept it the same more or less when I rebuilt it and used as many of the original parts as possible. I discoverd a few Mega blocks in it, which were promptly discarded and replaced with Lego. The interior was the most changed with the upgraded sink, a new drinks dispenser, drawers and cabinets under the counter, additional staff, new cash registers, and menus on the wall. Next I added a roof, which wast required to be in city display, and I added lights to it, making it my first lit building ever. I also added an extra picnic table, moved a gate over, and changed the front windows to match the others.
I want to thank whoever originally built this MOC and sold it to me on Ebay. I don't know who it was as Ebay history dosn't go back that far, But this has been a cherrished part of my collection and will continue to be for many years to come. It will be on display at Our National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows from Nov 18 2022 to New Years eve 2022 as part of the GTW LUG City display.
