Disruptor XL WIP 48: Front Lighting
Lighting the dome was difficult and nearly blinded me. Wireing everything and mounting the basket with the 5 port expansion board from Brickstuff required me to buy some new tweezers to get everthing inside. Inserted into a transparent 2x2 round brick are two pico lights that are connected to a 3 way expansion board inside the little trans neon green mail box part. Getting those in to position was a nightmare, if the two touched or if the wire was clamped too tightly between the bricks, they shorted out the whole front end of the ship. Not sure how that works as it is seprate from the other lights but it was annoying. Ultimatly I had to modify the center plates to open up a one stud hole for the wires to go through. Through out this I had the pico lights on to better see them in the dim light, which led to me seeing a neon green spot with my eyes shut for around 15 minutes after I was done.
