Frederick was the husband of Eve Joy of Easton, Bristol and the son of Frederick and Kate Joy, also of Bristol. The Personal Inscription at the foot of the grave stone reads 'Served 28 years as a Grenadier. Lovingly remembered by Eve, daughters June and Iris'.
