Kelston Park, Kelston, Somerset

A Grade II* listed building which at the time of this photograph was used as offices but in 2021 planning permission was granted to convert it into a hotel. The original house was built between 1765 and 1770, the architect being John Wood the Younger, for Sir Caesar Hawkins who was Serjeant-Surgeon to King George II and King George III. Sir Caesar commissioned Capability Brown to lay out the park, which is also Grade II* listed, in 1767-68. The house stands overlooking the A4, River Avon and railway between Bath and Bristol.
