Longeant la voie sur une majeure partie de la subdivision, les poteaux télégraphiques restants, quoique certains étant toujours utilisés, témoignent d'une autre époque où ils étaient le système nerveux des communications interurbaines et, par le fait même, du chemin de fer.
After meeting the Z12111 28 and having just cleared the Tarte siding, the engineer of the M30631 28, with his hand out to say byebye, puts the throttle in notch 8 to achieve the 40 mph permitted for this section of track.
Lined along the track for most of the subdivision, the remaining telegraph poles, though some are still in use, bear witness to a bygone era when they were the lifeblood of intercity communications and, by extension, of the railway.
