Looking down my little valley from the back door step this morning..
We've had very little rain as usual through Winter, but some heavy fogs gather here, overnight into dawn.
This moisture must be enough to kick-start the flowering trees, which are now putting on their Springtime show all around town.
These purple ones are Jacarandas, very hardy and native to South Africa, they do really well here, and I reckon we've adopted them as our own a long time ago, as they appear in some early aussie paintings..
They're so popular and there's many very old ones here.
