Falls Creek Falls

Don't let the uninspired name fool you, these falls are some of the most powerful in the state and it flows all year. Three plunges totaling 335 feet at a width between 40 and 100 feet makes a ROAR in this chasm carved out by volcanic activity with a landing across from it seemingly created just for photographers. As you trek across the twoish mile trail you are accompanied by the sound of water the whole time as it races for the Columbia River, but when you round the last corner about 1/4 mile below the falls you hear the siren call and look up, no, higher... :) You'll clamber over roots, moss covered rocks, past scrub that literally grabbed my tripod strapped to my pack, don't let them stop you. Suddenly you are standing at a cliffs edge and there it is.

Blow it up large, you'll be glad you did
