Deceptively Peaceful

With the rising of dawn the early fog covers the carnage that is the Toutle River Valley, the rocky cliff sides devoid of soil that was blasted away in an instant forty one years ago, the hummocks (large pieces of mountain) strewn about below, the boles of trees that were once a rain forest.

At this serene and chilly moment all was calm, no steam, no earthquakes, just me and the volatile young lady in a moment of repose.
