Texas Oasis

a second look at Mission Concepción, I want it in my album so..... here it is. the following is copy/pasted from previous post for those who missed it.

The oldest unrestored stone church in America Mission Nuestra Señora de la Purísima Concepción de Acuña was built by the Spanish in 1731 to convert locals to Catholicism but it became so much more. This marvel of architecture was an oasis, a fortress, a place for culture, and the backdrop of the first major engagement in the Texas revolution. (It is thought that the priests tipped off the Mexican army that a fraction of the Texian forces had set up camp nearby) If you find yourself in the city of San Antonio, look it up.

Blow this up large, so much to see.

I'm told that we have 14 Bank of America remodels on the books which means early mornings, late nights, and or weekends starting tomorrow so I am going to be hit and miss for a while. I always look at recent activity and update best of washington outdoors so if you have something you know I'd like let me know if I miss it.
