New Primordial
The definition of Primordial is from the beginning of time. Time stopped for this tree and the 230 square miles of old growth forest in which it stood in May 18th, 1980. It is illegal to remove anything from this area as man is stepping aside and allowing mother nature to renew itself. The decay from this tree and it's fallen brethren feed the land and it is slowly coming alive once again and it's progress has been a wonder for me to see. This is my first time seeing flowers here and the meaning wasn't lost on me. It's not always bad to be a weepy old man. :-)
Side note for those who care, there are many, many places that you have this view of Saint Helens, it seems to me to be watching and waiting ever looming and growing. Rainier has never made me uneasy, but I feel like this giant could blow at any time...
Total nuther unimportant side note: I've been installing cabinets in a high end retirement condo high rise for quite some time, today on the 13th floor, they have art and photos on the walls of the hallway. I see a mountain photo and I stop to admire it. hmm Baker?... Then I see the dogs head.... Mount Saint Helens in dawns light from Spirit lake with full reflection and snow cover over her beautiful lost dome. :-)
