Winter Wonderland

I got off work at 9am, gassed up Gertrude and headed for Rainier on a rainy day, figured I could finally get Narada Falls. Task completed I thought I'd get greedy and go to my happy place, Reflection Lakes. A lone car pulled out as I backed in and I was greeted my a mild cold rain. Didn't care, it was gorgeous. As I stood there I realized that it was snowing in the trees and just as I got a bit weepy at the beauty before me the mountain pelted me with hail to snap me out of it. Grinning like an idiot I set up my tripod and put on the 10 sec. timer (ten seconds Sony?) and held my coat over the camera. The passing Forest Ranger probably thought I was nuts. :-) All this and I still got home with enough time to mow the lawn before the Mrs. knew I was gone. Love living here. :-)

I've pointed this out before, but if you look at the clouds above the mountain here they are formed in the shape of the mountain before it's eruption extending up and over to Little Tahoma to the right, amazing!!!
