227 STAND IN ALEXANDER ROAD, CHISLEHURST. RFs 350, 318, and 410, 3rd NOVEMBER 1970

The 227/228 stands and turning arrangements at the "Gordon Arms", Chislehurst, comprised a quadrangle formed by Alexander Road, Adelaide Road, Edward Road and Green Lane. Route 227 ran every 3-4 minutes between Chislehurst and Penge, with only every third, fourth, or even fifth bus continuing to Crystal Palace! It was not exceptional to see three RFs on stand at any given time.
