Dark Side of the Dome

I call it the dark side because it was shot from the side less seen. most shots you see of half dome are shot from a roadside pull off at Glacier Point. Or from the same side but down in the valley at the resort and camp sites

for this POV I had to carry a backpack many miles thru bear country and sleep on an exposed peak ( cowboy style )

 

shot from clouds rest

there was lots of smoke in the air from some wild fires burning, but I slept on top of clouds rest and got to see sunset and sunrise with half dome in view : )
