Irgendwo zwischen San Andrés und El Bailadero.
Das Anaga-Gebirge im Nordosten Teneriffas. 20 km lang und mit einer Breite von 5 bis 10 km. Es ist sieben bis neun Mio. Jahren alt. Die höchste Punkte ist der Cruz de Taborno mit 1024 m. Der Kamm des Massivs ist die feuchteste Region der Insel und daher mit einem Lorbeerwald bewachsen. Das Gebirge ist durch eine kurvenreiche Straße über den Kamm gut zu erreichen. Es zweigen viele Wanderwege und Forststraßen ab, auf denen viele Aussichtspunkte und alle Bereiche des Waldes erreichbar sind.
Von El Medano aus bin ich die Autobahn TF1 in Richtung Santa Cruz de Tenerife bis San Andrés gefahren. Hier beginnt die Fahrt vom Meer hinauf nach El Bailadero, weiter nach Taganana (dem größten Ort im Gebirge) zu meinem eigentliche Ziel, nach Benijo und seiner steilen Küste und den Felsen vor der Küste.

The Anaga Mountains in the north-east of Tenerife. 20 km long and with a width of 5 to 10 km. It is seven to nine million years old. The highest point is the Cruz de Taborno with 1024 m. The crest of the massif is the wettest region of the island and therefore covered with a laurel forest. The mountains can be reached by a winding road across the ridge. There are many hiking trails and forest roads, where many viewpoints and all areas of the forest can be reached.
From El Medano I took the TF1 motorway in the direction of Santa Cruz de Tenerife to San Andrés. Here the journey from the sea begins to El Bailadero, then to Taganana (the largest place in the mountains) to my real destination, to Benijo and its steep coast and the rocks off the coast.
