NYC Schneider, Ind. Elevator
Before I move any farther south with old photos I have found along the NYC Egyptian line between Schneider and Danville, I wanted to post this photo of the elevator that still stands today abandoned. This view is looking N/W with the Egyptian line at bottom. It looks as though it is in the building stages, which would date this to the early teens somewhere. I don't have much info on this grain elevator, but it has been a subject in a lot of my photos at Schneider over the years. Since it was near the bracketed home signal, it was nice to include. I don't remember when they abandoned it, but I remember it being fully stocked with CR hoppers when I was younger.
This image is tiny, and I apologize.
