YT-1300 Millennium Falcon 1s=f: Comparison

This shows off why it's important to make measurements ahead of time. If you look back through the WIP, you can see that I made a very colourful "drawing" of the Falcon ahead of time - that indeed was a literal template for what you see here. Some sections were literally built directly onto that drawing, and until very recently, the colours of that drawing served as markers for large pieces to land on.

 

The model is the original A New Hope 5-foot model. This picture in particular served as a huge source of information and was what I used to do a lot of the panel colouring, among other things. It wasn't super helpful for any of the tiny details, but it was immensely useful to line up all of the major pieces.
