I did this project with a secret: It's a Pallet Coffee Table with Recessed Ice Chest! It's sedating and proper when you need it, and then pop the lid off and have a party!

I built the frame out of stringer boards. Next, I made the inner ice chest to fit a galvanized planter and also made it about 1/2" smaller than the opening I cut in the top. The fun part is using your imagination to change the basic table into anything you want. Rustic; modern, eclectic - Just unleash your creativity and have some fun!
