Rustic Western Bar

How about this Rustic Western Bar for your patio area? It's made of pallets, recycled timber, and recycled tin, so it was very wallet-friendly!
How I built my Rustic Western Bar:
I wanted to build a rustic western bar and decided to use pallets, recycled timber, and tin. The key points of "rustic" to me are that it is imperfectly perfect; there are no perfect corners, no perfect joints, and most woods was used as-is, cracks and all.
I cut one pallet in half vertically for the open end of the bar and cut it a little shorter for a varied bar top height. I also trimmed the leftover half even narrower to fill in the gap for the proper bar depth. I used another pallet for a focal point behind the bar to put various art pieces on display, with more of that wonderful old tin as the backdrop.
I only worked on it occasionally, so it has taken me a while to do, and I am still going. I used whole pallets because I wanted a tall bar. I also had the idea of sliding old tin roofing inside to create a more rustic feel.
Finishing my Rustic Western Bar:
I applied a Jarrah-colored stain/varnish on the pallets to get the coloring I wanted. I stained all of the surfaces of the pallets before installing them together to encapsulate them. This will help protect them from the elements as long as possible. I installed a live-edge slice of timber for the bar top and love the look. I'll post more information about the bar stools and other lounge furniture shortly.
I posted several pictures of my Rustic Western Bar here so other people could see how I built it for ideas and inspiration. I will be adding pics of the stools, chairs, the Weber cart, sink and liquor cabinet I also built for the "TEX'S LONE STAR SALOON." Obviously, this has been a fun project, and will continue to be fun as I expand it.
