Gadime Caves

The magnificent marble caves of Gadime were discovered by accident in 1969, and opened to the public in 1976. Currently there are 1300m of concrete walkways, with a further 5000m on two levels planned for the future.

The caves have an amazing array of stalagmites, stalactites and 'curtains'.

The caves are beautifully lit - until the electricity goes. As it does on a regular basis. It gets mighty dark in there with no lights. Bring a torch.
