M24 Chaffee Light Tank T330533 'Trigger Happy'
American Light Tank T24 used the powerplant and transmission of the M5 were used with some aspects of the T7. The T24 was lighty aroured and was sloped to maximize effectiveness.
The first M24s reached Europe in November 1944 and were issued to the US 2nd Cavalry Group in France. the British Army was another main user of the Chaffee during the war, with at least several hundred obtained through the US Lend-Lease program. These saw action mainly in northwestern Europe and the North German Plain where British forces saw action against German troops.
The US Army deploted the Chaffee in Vietnam. The French Chaffees were used in Indo China and Algeria.
The last action involving the Chaffee was, by Pakistan in East Pakistan (Bangladesh), during the Indo Pakistan war of 1971
