1739 the Kingsway Subway trolleybus.

An unsuccessful experiment ,the offside jackknife doors were fitted where the staircase normally was.This was to allow passengers on and off the bus at the platforms in the subway..Trams with an entrance on the off side at the drivers end were ideal for the job.1739 ran as a normal bus with the doors locked for the rest of its service life.
