London Transport Trolleybus No61.

My favorite of all the London trolleybuses,photographed in Vrow Walk Hampton Court spring 1945. 61 was takIng part in the

Pay As You Board experiment.This bus was the most suitable out of the group of buses used as the conductor was seated under the stairs and virtually no rebuilding had to be done.

RT97 and the two STL class buses 1783 & 2284 which were used needed major alterations.Also C3 class trolleybus No378

had platform doors and a spiral staircase fitted under which sat the conductor,an emergency door was put in the rear like RT97s
