Built by E Gillett & Co Hounslow [the razor blade people].

Licensed by the Metropolitan Police on 21 January 1899.

This ungainly steam driven bus had a horizontal boiler and

was built on a lorry chassis, the body came off a horse bus

seating 10 downstairs and 14 on top.the whole contraption was chain driven and ran on steel tyres.there is no evidence that it

ever ran in public service.
