Going Dutch
The Dutch Windmill, which sits right near the end of Golden Gate Park, close to Ocean Beach.
Golden Gate Park stretches for more than three miles from Haight-Ashbury down to the Pacific Ocean and was developed in the late 19th century as a natural retreat from the city of San Francisco.
It is made up of more than 1,000 acres of woodland and parkland, gardens and forests, as well as containing several museums.
It’s easy to spend days here and still not see it all, with sights such as the Japanese Tea Garden and the MH De Young Museum – which had Tutankhamun there when I visited.
