Sono trascorsi 68 anni dal giorno in cui le truppe sovietiche, inseguendo i tedeschi in ritirata dalla Polonia, liberarono Auschwitz. Era il 27 gennaio del 1945 e con la scoperta del campo di concentramento più grande della Germania il mondo intero conobbe l'orrore del più tremendo genocidio che l’uomo avesse mai visto. Molti sapevano, troppi tacquero in quell’epoca nefanda della storia dell’umanità.
After 68 years from the day when the Soviet troops, chasing the retreating Germans from Poland, liberated Auschwitz. It was 27 January 1945 and with the discovery of the largest concentration camp in Germany the whole world knew the horror of the most terrible genocide that man had ever seen. Many knew, too many were silent at that heinous in human history.
