Sparks Marina

I took this at the Sparks Marina in Sparks NV.

 

The Marina is a really neat story. Until 1997 it was a giant hole in the ground that was 120 feet deep and covered over 80 acres. Over the course of the previous 15 years a local construction company created a aggregate pit there. In 1 day the pit was filled almost completely with flood water from the New Years Day flood that year.

 

19 years latter you could never tell. Its one of the most popular places in the Reno, Sparks area for residents to get out and enjoy the day.
