Pauline Lake Sunset

Pauline Lake is one of a handful of lakes in the Superior National Forest that is near, but not in, the Boundary Waters Canoe Area, so you don't need a permit to enter. There is a short portage from the Echo Trail to the lake and it is also connected to the Astrid Lake hiking trail system.
