Tower Bridge
Designed by Sir Horace Jones (1819-1887) and his engineer, Sir John Wolfe Barry (1836-1918) - with the cladding designed by George D. Stevenson after Jones's death.
Construction was by Sir John Jackson (foundations), Baron Armstrong (hydraulics), William Webster, Sir H.H. Bartlett, and Sir William Arrol & Co, with the workers supervised by resident engineer E W Crutwell.
Construction occurred between 1886 and 1894, and the bridge was opened by the Prince of Wales.
20 Fenchurch Street, currently in construction and already with promises of nicknames - 'The Walkie Talkie' and 'The Pint' - courtesy of the bulbous top in the design.
