Turtle Mania
The Calusa Nature Center & Planetarium holds various reptiles and amphibians in the main building, as well as a selection of birds in aviaries outside.
The Calusa centre holds an aquarium with small Florida softshell turtles (Apalone ferox) as well as other, unidentified types.
It was tricky at times taking shots - getting close enough to reduce reflection on the glass, not close enough lose focus (although at times the background gravel is clearer than the beastie).
