Traffic Marshall

The Wellington Statue, by Carlo Marochetti, erected 1844.

Raised to commemorate Arthur Wellesley, 1st Duke of Wellington, at the Royal Exchange Square, Glasgow.

Since the 1980s the statue has frequently worn a traffic cone (courtesy of late-night pranksters); occasionally the horse does too.
