Along the Mohawk

The Mohawk River goes for about 150 miles and is the largest tributary of the Hudson River.

It was named after the Native American Mohawk tribe who used it as a waterway, and it still is today, along with supplying hydropower.

A RR followed its course, but the rail bed has since been torn up and is now a bike/walking path.

This is part of that route not too far from where I live.

It's a lovely meandering river, with a habit of fairly regularly overflowing.

Autumn came and went quickly here this year, and I only managed to get about 100 photos or so. ;-)

This was one of them, altho today the area is covered with snow.

Have a nice Sunday.
